Circle Series (’15-’20)
After spending my life trying to make a square or rectangle look circular, an obvious realization hit me! Why not paint on a circle?! I commissioned an amazing woodworker to build beautiful, birch wood circular surfaces with a dimensional depth to them and I dove in. This series has been so much fun and is still in progress, eliciting not only abstracts but realism for the first time in many years. We’ll see what comes in the coming year!
